Objective: By the end of this lesson you can take any quadratic function on the Digital SAT and say, without hesitation, which of the three forms it is written in, which feature that form hands you free, where its vertex and axis of symmetry are, whether the vertex is a maximum or a minimum and what the extreme value actually equals, what its range is, how many times it meets the x-axis, what a shift left or right does to the extreme value as against what a shift up or down does, how to rebuild the equation from a graph or a table, and what the vertex means in a modelling context with units attached - across all six levels, from reading \(h\) and \(k\) straight off vertex form at Level 1 to pinning an unknown coefficient from two simultaneous conditions under time pressure at Level 6.
