Objective: By the end of this lesson you can answer every Digital SAT one-variable statistics question at six levels: read a mean, median, mode or range straight from a list, table or box plot (Level 1); turn a list or a small table into a mean or median in two moves (Level 2); find centers from frequency tables and dot plots and compare data sets that differ by one value (Level 3); judge spread - range, interquartile range and standard deviation - and work with totals, missing values and combined groups (Level 4); predict exactly what adding, removing or shifting values does to the mean, median and spread, including tables you cannot list by hand (Level 5); and solve the hardest must-be-true, histogram and unknown-constant problems on time, knowing when Desmos helps and when it cannot (Level 6).
