An SAT math question bank is a large set of Digital SAT Math questions you can filter by topic and difficulty, so you practice the skills that cost you points instead of taking full tests over and over. College Board's free Student Question Bank sorts official questions by domain, skill and difficulty. Our SAT question bank sorts Math questions by test date, from March 2024 to October 2026, with a difficulty band on every question.
This guide compares the main SAT math question banks, explains how to choose questions in a smart order, and gives you a two-week routine.
SAT math question banks compared
| Question bank | How you filter | Cost | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| College Board Student Question Bank | Test (Reading and Writing or Math), domain, skill and difficulty level | Free | Official practice on one exact skill |
| Khan Academy Official SAT Prep (math course) | Skill, at three levels: Foundations, Medium and Advanced | Free | Learning a skill with videos before you drill it |
| TTA Math question banks | Grouped by test date (2024 to 2026), with a difficulty band from 1 to 7 on every question | Premium: 39.99 dollars a month or 250 dollars a year | Practice grouped by test date, with a daily plan built from your misses |
| Kaplan QBank | Comes with Kaplan's live courses (500+ questions, per Kaplan) | Part of courses listed from 680 dollars | Students already taking a Kaplan class |
College Board says its Student Question Bank has "thousands of official practice questions," and you can filter it by assessment, test, domain, skill and difficulty level. That makes it the first stop for free official practice. What it does not do is track which questions you missed last week. You have to keep that list yourself.
Which math topics to drill first
The SAT Math section has 44 questions in two 35-minute modules. College Board's assessment framework lists four content areas and how many scored questions each one gets.
Find your weakest math area first. Create a free account and take one free full-length adaptive test. You can choose Math.
Start 1-day free trial →- Algebra: about 35 percent, or 13 to 15 questions (linear equations, linear functions, systems and inequalities).
- Advanced Math: about 35 percent, or 13 to 15 questions (equivalent expressions, nonlinear equations and nonlinear functions).
- Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: about 15 percent, or 5 to 7 questions (ratios, percentages, data, probability and statistics).
- Geometry and Trigonometry: about 15 percent, or 5 to 7 questions (area and volume, lines and angles, right triangles, circles).
Spend most of your question bank time on Algebra and Advanced Math, since together they make up about 70 percent of the scored questions. Within each area, filter by difficulty. Work up from medium questions to hard ones instead of jumping straight to the hardest set.
How TTA's Math question banks work
TTA groups Math questions into banks by test date. The 2026 banks cover March (US and International forms), May, June, June US, August, August US, September and October. Older banks go back to March 2024. You can preview each bank page without an account, for example the October 2026 Math question bank or the September 2026 Math question bank.
Every Math question carries a difficulty band from 1 (foundational) to 7 (hardest). Targeted Practice picks questions from your weakest topics, moves you up a band when you get one right, and steps you down after two misses in a row. Each missed question goes into a list you can retry, and Premium adds Guide Me hints, video explanations and Mr. O, the AI tutor, on every question.
