Khan Academy SAT practice tests are College Board's full-length Bluebook practice tests. You take the test in the Bluebook app, then open My Practice and click "Practice on Khan Academy" to get a free walk-through of every question on that test. Khan Academy adds lessons, quizzes and a Course Challenge. For practice beyond the official tests, use a question bank such as our SAT question bank.
If you searched for Khan Academy practice tests, you may have found lessons instead of a test library. This page explains how the two tools fit together and what to add when you run out of official tests.
Where Khan Academy's SAT practice tests are
College Board's guide to Khan Academy describes the flow in three steps:
- Take a full-length practice test in Bluebook. College Board scores it.
- Log in to My Practice to see your scores.
- From your scorecard or the Score Details page, click "Practice on Khan Academy." You get a walk-through course that explains every question on that practice test, and each explanation links to a lesson on the skill behind it.
So the test itself lives in Bluebook, and Khan Academy is where you study what went wrong. If you want to know how many official tests you can take, our guide to how many practice tests Bluebook has lists them.
What Khan Academy gives you for free
The June 2026 English question bank is free. Work it with a free account, then use free Targeted Practice on your weak skills.
Start 1-day free trial →College Board calls Official SAT Prep on Khan Academy free and says it was developed in partnership with College Board. According to that page, the course includes:
- Every skill on the test at three levels: Foundations, Medium and Advanced.
- Short video walk-throughs of example questions, most around five minutes long.
- A Course Challenge for Reading and Writing and one for Math, so you can find your weak areas.
- Skill quizzes and unit tests to check progress.
That makes Khan Academy strong for learning a skill you do not know yet. It is weaker as a source of extra full-length tests, because the full tests come from Bluebook.
Khan Academy vs Bluebook vs TTA
| Tool | Full-length tests | Extra practice | Cost |

| Bluebook (College Board) | Full-length adaptive practice tests, timed and scored | Tailored Practice and the Student Question Bank through My Practice | Free |
| Khan Academy Official SAT Prep | Walk-throughs of Bluebook tests; you take the tests in Bluebook | Lessons, videos, quizzes and unit tests at three levels | Free |
| The Test Advantage | Adaptive tests with Module 1 and Module 2 and a likely score range | 45 question banks from 2023 to 2026, difficulty bands 1 to 7, daily plan from your misses | Free account: one full-length adaptive test. Premium: 39.99 dollars a month or 250 dollars a year |
The three tools work best together. Bluebook sets your baseline, Khan Academy teaches the skills you miss, and a question bank gives you enough fresh questions to practice those skills until they stick.

How to use Khan Academy after a practice test
- Finish a Bluebook practice test in one sitting, with the timer on.
- Open the Khan Academy walk-through the same day. Redo each missed question before you watch the explanation.
- Pick the three skills with the most misses. Work through each one from Foundations to Advanced.
- Drill each skill with fresh questions. The Student Question Bank lets you filter by skill and difficulty, and TTA's banks add questions grouped by test date.
- Take your next Bluebook test after one to two weeks, not the next day, so your score reflects new skill instead of memory.
College Board's guide also suggests mixing a short quiz on a skill you have almost mastered into long study sessions on hard skills. It keeps you from burning out on one topic.
What to do when you run out of practice tests
The official tests run out. After that, you need new adaptive practice that routes you between modules the way the SAT does. A free TTA account gives you one full-length adaptive test (English or Math), 30 practice questions a day, 10 Mr. O messages a day and a score report. The free June 2026 English question bank is open to everyone.
Premium opens all 45 question banks, adaptive tests with a likely score range, Guide Me hints and video explanations. It costs 39.99 dollars a month or 250 dollars a year on our pricing page. Create a free account to take your free adaptive test first.

How we built this page
Updated October 23, 2026. The Khan Academy flow, course levels, video length and study tip come from College Board's How to Use Khan Academy page. The Bluebook details come from College Board's Bluebook practice tests page and Practice page. All three were read on that date. Khan Academy's own SAT page did not load without JavaScript when we checked, so we relied on College Board's description. TTA facts come from our live pricing page.
