The October 2026 SAT Reddit thread for the International test is the public r/SAT post "Official October 3, 2026, International SAT Discussion Thread." It had 697 comments when we read it. Students recalled 64 Reading and Writing items and 29 Math items. The most-discussed item was a Math question about a(x + k)(x + r)(x + s), with 86 mentions. The most common complaint was English Module 2: 18 comments called English hard, and none called it easy.

October 2026 International SAT Reddit recap at a glance
This table sums up what students recalled, how many of those items Mr. O could work through, and where the full breakdown lives.
| Section | Items Reddit recalled | Worked by Mr. O | Seen on an earlier SAT? | Full breakdown |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Vocabulary (Words in Context) | 10 | 8 worked, 2 too vague to solve | 1 of 8 worked | October 2026 International SAT vocab list |
| Reading | 15 | 14 worked, 1 too vague to solve | 3 of 14 | October 2026 International SAT Reading questions |
| Grammar | 21 | 20 worked, 1 only partly clear | 2 of 20 | grammar and transition questions from the October 3 test |
| Transitions | 15 | 13 worked, 2 only partly clear | 7 of 13 | |
| Notes (rhetorical synthesis) and unclear | 3 | 1 only partly clear, 2 too vague to solve | 0 of 1 | covered in the Reading and grammar recaps |
| Math | 29 | 8 worked, 3 only partly clear, 18 too vague to solve | 4 of 8 | October 2026 International SAT Math answers |
Across the 93 recalled items, Reddit's most common answer held up against Mr. O's worked answer 50 times and did not hold up 9 times. The other 34 had no clear Reddit answer, a tie, or numbers too different to compare. Every one of Mr. O's worked answers was re-checked: each Math item was solved again by hand, and each English answer was read against its passage. None was flagged as wrong.
Are these the official October 2026 SAT answers?
No. College Board does not publish the questions or answers from this test. This page is a summary of a public student discussion, with Mr. O's worked answers added.
Here is what we worked from:
- The thread. The r/SAT "Official October 3, 2026, International SAT Discussion Thread" had 697 comments, with 131 top-level comments. We read 693 of them plus the post. 8 comments were deleted or removed.
- What students recalled. We logged 64 English items (10 vocabulary, 15 reading, 21 grammar, 15 transitions, 1 notes question and 2 unclear) and 29 Math items.
- Two removed lists. One student posted a 21-item grammar list and another posted a 13-item transitions list. The subreddit moderators later removed both and asked people not to post every question. We do not reproduce those lists. The grammar and transitions recap covers the rules at a pattern level.
- Versions. Students kept saying their numbers were different. One wrote that "all the values were different for everybody." So a student's "the answer was 64" may be right for their version and wrong for yours.
Mr. O worked each recalled question from what students described, and we checked his answers against TTA's October 2026 SAT English practice set (183 questions when we checked, 300 now that the US form is added) and October 2026 SAT Math practice questions (74 questions when we checked, 106 now). Each worked answer comes with the reasoning. When the thread does not give enough detail to solve an item fully, we say Reddit could not be settled.
How was the October 3 test built, and how did it feel?
The format was the standard Digital SAT. Module 1 drew few complaints. English Module 2 drew the most: 18 comments called English hard, and 13 of them named Module 2.
The test breakdown
| Section | Modules | Questions | Time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Reading and Writing | 2 modules | 54 (27 per module) | 64 minutes (two 32-minute modules) |
| Break | - | - | 10 minutes |
| Math | 2 modules | 44 (22 per module) | 70 minutes (two 35-minute modules) |
| Total | 4 modules | 98 | 2 hours 14 minutes |
Module 2 is adaptive. Per College Board's test structure page, it is "more difficult or less difficult" depending on how you did in Module 1. That is why so many comments ask "was this the hard Module 2?"
What students said about difficulty
We read every comment that judged a section and sorted them by hand. Here is the count from 689 readable comments:
| What the comment said | Comments |
|---|---|
| English was hard (13 of these name Module 2) | 18 |
| English was easy overall | 0 |
| Math was easy, very easy, or "doable" | 10 |
| Math was hard | 7 |
| Ran out of time or had to guess | 13 |
| Worried they got the easier Module 2 | 4 |
| Mentioned Desmos | 10 |
English Module 2 drew the strongest reaction. Two comments called it "genuinely from hell." One student called it "way harder than practice11 emod2," meaning Bluebook Practice Test 11. The complaints were about two things: vocabulary words students did not know ("Did not know a single word for three questions"), and long passages that ate their time.
Reddit said English Module 2 was the hard part of October 3. Take one free adaptive section and see which Module 2 route you land on.
Try 5 Free →Math was split. The highest-voted comment in the whole thread (score 10) was about Math Module 2: "I couldn't even finish it in time." Yet 10 comments called Math easy, and one said it was "comparable to practice5 or 6." Three comments said Module 2 Math had a lot of geometry, circles or trig.
Compared with September, Reddit had no clear view. Two comments said October was harder (one for Reading and Writing, one for Math). Two said it was easier or about the same. One student who took the August test said this one was "definitely easier."
What came up in Reading and Writing?
The four most-discussed English items were all vocabulary, with 34, 25, 20 and 17 mentions. Below are the English items with the biggest splits. The spoke recaps cover the rest.
Did the workers' schedule question want "parameters" or "anomalies"?
This was the most-discussed English item. Researchers built algorithms that account for how various ___ influence production schedules. The next sentence calls them "quantifiable inputs."
- Reddit split: parameters 13, anomalies 4, optimization 3, predictions 1.
- TTA difficulty rating: Intermediate.
- Seen before? No similar earlier passage found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: parameters. The next sentence renames the blank as "quantifiable inputs," and the examples are demand patterns and capacity constraints. Parameters are measurable factors that set up a problem. Anomalies are irregularities, and the text never mentions anything irregular. Predictions are outputs, not inputs.
More vocab items are in the October 2026 International SAT vocab list.
Was the female superheroes word "admonitions" or "obfuscations"?
The passage described the "lamentably lackluster" powers given to many female superheroes, such as Marvel Girl lifting modest loads with her mind. It then said unflattering portrayals of stronger heroines serve as ___.
- Reddit split: admonitions 8, obfuscations 6, exonerations 1.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard.
- Seen before? No similar earlier passage found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: admonitions. The sentence explains that a powerful heroine loses control and causes destruction, "showing the corrupting influence of power." A story that shows the danger of power works as a warning, and an admonition is a warning. Obfuscations are deliberate confusions, and nothing in the sentence is hidden or made unclear.
Was the plant stress word "attenuated" or "incipient"?
Sensors pick up the first signs that photosynthesis is slowing, so scientists can detect plant stress while it is still ___.
- Reddit split: attenuated 7, incipient 6, ambivalent 1. This is one of the 9 items where Reddit's top pick does not hold up.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard.
- Seen before? No similar earlier passage found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: incipient, which means "just starting to appear." The passage stresses timing: the first signs, before the stress shows up in normal vegetation indices. Attenuated means weakened from a stronger state. Stress that has barely started has not been weakened, so attenuated misses the point.
What was the word for Georgina at the New York ballet?
Students recalled a ballet passage about a woman named Georgina who "wanted to keep it real." Seven said the answer was candid and one said idealistic. The thread does not give enough detail to solve it fully, so we cannot settle it, and we could not check whether a similar passage appeared before.
Which quotation showed that Pawnie was thoughtless?
This Module 1 reading item used a scene from Noël Coward's 1924 play The Vortex. The claim was that other characters see Pawnie as thoughtless.
- Reddit split: Clara's "I should never expect the least consideration from you" 9, the lamp quotation 2, a self-description quotation 2.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard.
- Seen before? No similar earlier passage found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer is Clara's line, the answer 9 students gave. The claim is about what other characters think, so the quotation must show another character judging Pawnie. The lamp line is about a gift. The self-description line shows Pawnie talking about himself, which is the trap.
How did the palm trees work in Text 1 and Text 2?
This paired-text item set a passage from George Eliot's The Mill on the Floss against one from Rabindranath Tagore's Glimpses of Bengal.
- Reddit split: "both metaphorical, Text 1 calls it home" 3, "only one speaker identifies with the trees" 3, option D 2, other 1.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard.
- Seen before? No similar earlier passage found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer is the choice saying palms suggest natural beauty in both texts, but only Text 2's author identifies closely with them. In Text 1, the narrator mentions tropic palms only to say they could never move her like her English "home scene." In Text 2, Tagore feels his "consciousness" stream through the palm leaves. The "Text 1 calls it home" answer reverses the passage: home is the English wood, not the palms.
What did the Form 4720 tax penalty graph show?
Students remembered a bar graph about tax penalties on private foundations, with the form number recalled as "4410." The version worked below uses Form 4720, covering 2003 to 2005.
- Reddit split: 4 students said the answer compared 2003 as larger than 2005. Letter claims conflicted (A 2, C 1).
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard.
- Seen before? Yes: a similar graph, with edits, appeared on the September 2025 SAT and the March 2026 US SAT.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer is the 2003-versus-2005 choice. Penalties for failing the charitable distribution rule were 79% of the total in 2003 and 55% in 2005. So the 2003 group paid a larger share. Choices about average penalty size fail because a percent-of-total graph cannot show averages.
One more reading item is worth knowing. Students recalled a "Cranley" zone passage about molecular versus physical analysis of animals. What they described fits the Clarion-Clipperton Zone, and a similar passage appeared on the October 2024 SAT. The other reading items are in the October 2026 International SAT Reading questions recap.
What about grammar and transitions?
Most grammar and transition items came from the two student lists that moderators removed, so we cover them only as rules. Mr. O worked 20 of the 21 grammar items and 13 of the 15 transition items. On the transitions, the posted answer held up 14 times out of 15.
Two points did get live discussion. On a parade transition item (recalled as an "Olympian parade"), 3 students picked "indeed" and 1 picked "additionally." What students described reads like a ticker-tape parade item, where Mr. O's answer is "Indeed," and a similar passage appeared on the December 2024 SAT. Five replies agreed that a verb blank about archaeologists needed an -ing form, because the sentence already had its main verb. Transitions were also the most repeated part of what Reddit recalled: 7 of the 13 transition items Mr. O worked resemble a passage from an earlier SAT. The rules are in the recap of grammar and transition questions from the October 3 test.

What came up in Math?
Math recalls were harder to pin down, because students saw different numbers. Of 29 Math items, Mr. O could work 8 through fully, and 3 more only in part. Below are the worked items with the most comments, plus one where Reddit's pick does not hold up.
Was the a(x + k)(x + r)(x + s) question "not enough information"?
This was the most-discussed item in the whole thread, with 86 mentions. A polynomial function had the form a(x + k)(x + r)(x + s), and its value at x = 0 was p. Students had to compare p with k · rs. They recalled k as 55, 48, 44, 41, 36, 28 or 24. The version worked below uses 39.
- Reddit split: not enough information 25, p > krs 16, p = krs 6.
- Why they split: the 7 comments that recalled "a is a positive constant" picked not enough information. The 4 that recalled "positive integer, a > 1" picked p > krs.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard (Advanced Math). In the version worked below, a, r and s are positive constants.
- Seen before? No similar earlier question found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: there is not enough information. Plug in x = 0: p = a(39)(r)(s) = 39ars. Comparing p with 39rs is the same as comparing a with 1. A positive constant could be 0.5, 1 or 3. That gives p < 39rs, p = 39rs or p > 39rs. So you cannot tell.
The p > krs camp is right only if a must be bigger than 1, for example a whole number of at least 2. If the question you saw said "positive integer greater than 1," that answer would follow. The version worked here says "positive constant," which is also what the larger group of students recalled.
Was a + b + c equal to −16 or −32?
Students recalled an expression rewritten with every coefficient over a number (over 4, 6 or 8 in different versions), then asked for a + b + c. The version worked below is −14(3x − 4)2 + 6(3x − 2)2, rewritten with every coefficient over 4.
- Reddit split: no consensus. The most repeated value was −16, from 4 students, for the answer set with −32, −16 and −8.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard (Advanced Math). Mr. O's answer: −32. This is one of the 9 items where Reddit's pick does not hold up.
- Seen before? Yes: a similar question, with edits, appeared on the December 2024 SAT and the March 2024 SAT.
Show the answer
Plug in x = 1. The right side becomes (a + b + c)/4. The left side is −14(−1)2 + 6(1)2 = −14 + 6 = −8. So (a + b + c)/4 = −8, and a + b + c = −32. The −8 choice is the trap of stopping before you multiply by 4. The version worked here gives no direct route to −16. One student said Desmos regression gave them −16, but they may have had a different version, so where that number came from is unverified.
Which value was greatest when 3r > 19s in the right triangle?
A right triangle had acute angles r and s and an inequality between them. Students recalled 3r > 13s or 5r > 22s. The version worked below uses 3r > 19s.
- Reddit split: sin r / sin s 8, sin r / cos s 4, cos r 2, a guess 1.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard (Geometry and Trigonometry).
- Seen before? No similar earlier question found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: sin r / sin s. Since r + s = 90, the inequality forces s below about 12.3° and r above about 77.7°. For complementary angles, cos s = sin r, so sin r / cos s is always exactly 1. But sin r / sin s = tan r, which is more than 4.6 here. In every version students recalled, r is well above 45°, so the answer is the same.
Why couldn't the gamers study be applied to all gamers?
A researcher studied melatonin levels and gaming time. Students recalled about 122 gamers from three countries. The version worked below has 125 gamers: 25 from Sweden, 49 from South Korea and 51 from the United States.
- Reddit split: "not selected from all gamers" 10, "unequal numbers per country" 5, "sample too small" 2, other 1. One student wrote that it felt like an English question.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard (Problem-Solving and Data Analysis).
- Seen before? No similar earlier question found.
Show the answer
Mr. O's answer: the gamers were not selected at random from all gamers. They were random, but only within three countries. To generalize to all gamers, you must sample from all gamers. Unequal country counts do not block that, and nothing suggests 125 is too small.
What was the temperature in kelvins at t = 0?
A cooling model gave a liquid's temperature in kelvins. The version worked below is g(t) = 296 + (362 − 296)(2.72)−0.104t.
- Reddit split: 362 from 6 students, 361 from 2.
- TTA difficulty rating: Intermediate (fill-in).
- Seen before? No similar earlier question found.
Show the answer
At t = 0, any base to the power 0 is 1. So g(0) = 296 + 66 = 362 kelvins. The 296 is the temperature the liquid cools toward. The 361 answers probably came from a version with different numbers.
Was t equal to 1 or −1 in the "no solution" system?
The version worked below is the system 18x + 6y = 8y + 9 and ty = 1/5 + 9x, and it asks for t if there is no solution.
- Reddit split: −1 from 2 students, 1 from 1.
- TTA difficulty rating: Hard (Algebra fill-in). Mr. O's answer: 1.
- Seen before? Yes: close versions appeared on the June 2026 US SAT and the November 2025 SAT.
Show the answer
The first equation becomes y = 9x − 4.5. The second becomes y = (9/t)x + 1/(5t). No solution means parallel lines: same slope, different intercept. So 9/t = 9 and t = 1. With t = −1 the slope is −9, the lines cross, and there is one solution.
What else did students recall in Math?
- Right square prism. One student recalled height 19. The version Mr. O worked has height 15 and volume 1,815, so the base edge is 11. Seen before? Yes: similar questions appeared on the May 2026 International SAT and the August 2026 SAT.
- A is x percent of B, answer as p/1000. Answers ran 600 (5 students), 550 (3), 650 (2) and 700 (2). The thread does not give enough detail to solve it fully, so Reddit could not be settled. Seen before? Not checkable.
- Circle with a bigger radius. Answers of 64, 81 and 49 came from different versions. The thread does not give enough detail to solve it fully. Seen before? Not checkable.
Every Math item, worked step by step, is in the October 2026 International SAT Math answers recap.
Was the October 2026 International SAT harder than September?
By TTA's difficulty ratings, a little. October 2026 has a bigger Hard share than September 2026 in both English (37% vs 32%) and Math (35% vs 31%). English sits close to August 2026 (38%) and the long-run average (36%). Math sits below August 2026 (43%) and the long-run average (39%). These are The Test Advantage's own Easy, Intermediate and Hard ratings. They are not College Board data, and they describe TTA's practice questions, not the scaled score.
Updated October 13, 2026: these figures now cover the full October bank, which includes the US form, and use our re-rated difficulty labels.
Reading and Writing difficulty mix
| Practice set | Questions | Easy | Intermediate | Hard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| October 2026 | 300 | 29% | 34% | 37% |
| September 2026 | 366 | 28% | 40% | 32% |
| August 2026 | 252 | 28% | 34% | 38% |
| October 2025 | 244 | 37% | 30% | 34% |
| Average of 21 other English practice sets (March 2024 to September 2026) | 5,465 | 29% | 36% | 36% |
Math difficulty mix
| Practice set | Questions | Easy | Intermediate | Hard |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| October 2026 | 106 | 29% | 36% | 35% |
| September 2026 | 194 | 32% | 37% | 31% |
| August 2026 | 201 | 21% | 36% | 43% |
| October 2025 | 209 | 43% | 33% | 24% |
| Average of 20 other Math practice sets (March 2024 to September 2026) | 3,883 | 26% | 35% | 39% |
Where the hard questions sat
The section split matters more than the total:
- Information and Ideas (reading, data): 58% Hard in October (45 of 77). That is close to August (57%) and October 2025 (54%), and above September (51%). Reading stayed as tough as usual.
- Craft and Structure (vocab, text structure, paired texts): 27% Hard in October (21 of 77), against 42% in August, 25% in September and 26% in October 2025. Yet vocab drew the loudest complaints on Reddit, and those complaints were mostly about not knowing the words.
- Standard English Conventions (grammar): 43% Hard in October (23 of 53), against 47% in August, 31% in September and 43% in October 2025.
- Advanced Math: 35% Hard in October (13 of 37), against 42% in August, 40% in September and 24% in October 2025. The a(x + k)(x + r)(x + s) and a + b + c items both sit here.
- Geometry and Trigonometry: 33% Hard in October (5 of 15), against 55% in August, 43% in September and 37% in October 2025.
- Algebra: 35% Hard (12 of 34). Problem-Solving and Data Analysis: 36% Hard (5 of 14).
So TTA's ratings and Reddit roughly agree about English. The ratings put October's English practice questions a little harder than September's and about level with the long-run average. Reddit says English Module 2 felt harder because of unfamiliar words and long passages. A word you have never seen can make an Intermediate question feel Hard. The fix is the same either way: more vocabulary in context and more timed passages.
For a longer look back, compare the October 2025 Reading and Writing bank and the October 2025 Math bank.
Did October repeat older SAT tests?
Yes, often. In the TTA repetition report for October 2026, run on the International form, 72 of its 183 English practice passages (39.3%) and 24 of its 74 Math practice items (32.4%) closely resemble a passage or item from an earlier SAT.
The report compares every October 2026 practice item with every item in 41 earlier Digital SAT practice sets (21 English, 20 Math) from March 2024 to September 2026. Nothing was skipped. A "repeat" means the same passage, or the same item frame with names or numbers changed. It does not always mean an identical question.
Where the repeats came from
| Section | Repeated | Top earlier sources (number of similar October passages) |
|---|---|---|
| Reading and Writing | 72 of 183 (39.3%) | June 2026 US (21), March 2024 (19), August 2026 (18), June 2026 (16), December 2025 (14) |
| Math | 24 of 74 (32.4%) | November 2025 (7), December 2025 (5), December 2024 (5), October 2024 (4), June 2026 US (3) |
By English section, the share that repeated was highest in Expression of Ideas (20 of 31, which covers transitions and notes questions) and lowest in Standard English Conventions (5 of 32). In Math, Algebra (10 of 24) and Geometry and Trigonometry (5 of 12) repeated most, at 42% each. Advanced Math repeated least (6 of 27, 22%).
A few named examples
- A practice passage on microwave heating, a way to preserve food, is 100% similar in text to a passage from the November 2025 SAT.
- A passage from Yung Wing's 1909 memoir is 100% similar to one from the December 2025 SAT.
- A passage on Aristophanes' play The Clouds is 99.9% similar to one from the November 2025 SAT.
- The Clarion-Clipperton Zone passage (Reddit's "Cranley" zone) is 95.4% similar to one from the October 2024 SAT.
- In Math, the right square prism item is 94.7% similar to one from the May 2026 International SAT, and the "no solution" system is 89.3% similar to one from the June 2026 US SAT.
The most-debated items were mostly new
Of the 63 Reddit items Mr. O worked, 17 (27%) resemble a passage or question from an earlier SAT. The big arguments were mostly about new items. The parameters, admonitions and incipient vocab items had no similar earlier passage. Neither did the a(x + k)(x + r)(x + s) question, the right-triangle trig item or the gamers study. Repeats were common in transitions (7 of 13 worked items) and Math (4 of 8).
The full source-by-source list sits in the Repetition Report tab of each practice-set page. See the Repetition Report for the October 2026 SAT English practice set and for the October 2026 SAT Math practice questions. One caution: 30 English practice items sit in a separate "Variations" section, and 18 of them resemble passages from earlier SATs. How closely those 30 reflect the October test is unverified. The 4 domain sections alone give 54 repeats out of 153.

When do October 3, 2026 SAT scores come out?
Students get scores on October 16, 2026, per College Board's score release table. That is 13 days after the test. Schools get them through the K-12 reporting portal on October 19, 2026.
If you plan to retake, the next test is November 7, 2026, with scores due November 20, 2026. Our guide to when SAT scores come out covers the full schedule. For a picture of how a release goes, see our September 2026 score report, built from 309 Reddit scores.

Is this the US or the International October SAT?
This page covers the International form. US test-takers had a different form, and we will publish a separate US recap.
In the thread, US students asked for hints. One reply said a US student might see "3-5 of the international questions" at best. That is a student guess, not a fact we can check. TTA's October 2026 practice-set pages are labeled "US & International."
Earlier International recaps follow the same format: August 2026 International SAT Math answers, August 2026 Reading and Writing answers, September 2026 SAT Math answers and September 2026 Reading and Writing answers.
Where can I practice October 2026 SAT questions?
If you are retaking on November 7, practice the skills October tested, in the format it tested them. The Test Advantage has both October 2026 practice sets plus free lesson notes for each skill below.
- Work the October practice sets. The October 2026 Reading and Writing question bank has 300 questions sorted by domain and difficulty. The October 2026 Math question bank has 106. Several items come in two versions, so you can test whether you learned the method or just the answer.
- Fix vocabulary first. That was the loudest English complaint. The free Vocabulary (Words in Context) lesson notes teach that one skill. Every vocab item above was solved from a clue in the same sentence or the next one.
- Study reading evidence. The Pawnie and Form 4720 items both test whether a quotation or a data point proves a claim. Use the free Support the Claim lesson notes and the Main Idea lesson notes.
- Study transitions and boundaries. Transitions repeated the most. Try the free Transitions lesson notes and the Sentence Boundaries lesson notes. For mixed practice, see the paid October 2026 English question bank.
- Speed up Math with Desmos. Ten comments mentioned Desmos, and 4 said they ran out of time in Math Module 2. Students in the thread used Desmos regression and sliders. The Desmos for the Digital SAT guide has a practice calculator and an A to Z technique library.
- Take a timed adaptive section. Create a free account and take one full-length adaptive SAT section free, with a Module 1 to Module 2 route and a scaled score.
Every other month is in the Digital SAT question bank library.

How we built this page
This recap of the SAT October 2026 Reddit discussion was built on October 3, 2026, the day of the test. Here is exactly what we did:
- Source. The public r/SAT post "Official October 3, 2026, International SAT Discussion Thread." It is openly available. We read 693 of its 697 comments plus the post. Nothing in it is verified or official, and students' numbers and wording differ by version.
- Extraction. We logged every recalled question, topic and answer claim, with how many students gave each answer. We do not name usernames, and quotes are kept short.
- Worked answers. Mr. O worked each recalled question from what students described, and we checked it against TTA's October 2026 practice materials (the International form's 183 English and 74 Math questions) and repetition report. Every Math answer was solved again by hand, and every English answer was read against its passage.
- Partial content only. We show short excerpts and trimmed answer choices, never a full question. Two lists the moderators removed are not reproduced.
- Difficulty. The Easy, Intermediate and Hard shares use The Test Advantage's own ratings across 43 active Digital SAT practice sets. They are not College Board data.
- Repetition. Every October 2026 practice item was compared by text similarity with 41 earlier practice sets from March 2024 to September 2026. A match at 70% similarity or higher counts as a repeat.
- Difficulty comments. The comment counts in the "how did it feel" table come from a hand sort of every comment that judged a section.
Found a mistake, or remember a question differently? The thread is still open, and we will update this page as more students post.
October 2026 SAT scores are out. See what 28 r/SAT students and 12 Test Advantage students scored, who went up, and why about a third of October's Reading and Writing passages repeated earlier tests: October 2026 SAT scores: what Reddit and TTA students got.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are these the official October 2026 SAT answers?
No. College Board does not publish the questions or answers from the October 3, 2026 test. This page summarizes the public r/SAT discussion thread, which is unverified, and gives Mr. O's worked answers, checked against The Test Advantage's October 2026 practice materials. Students saw different versions, so numbers and wording differ.
When do October 3, 2026 SAT scores come out?
College Board's score release table lists October 16, 2026 for students who tested on October 3, 2026. Schools get scores through the K-12 reporting portal on October 19, 2026. The next test is November 7, 2026, with scores on November 20, 2026.
Was the October 2026 International SAT harder than September?
Reddit was split: 2 comments called October harder and 2 called it easier or about the same. By The Test Advantage's own difficulty ratings (not College Board data), the October 2026 practice sets have a bigger Hard share than September (English 37% vs 32%, Math 35% vs 31%).
Is this the US or the International October SAT?
This page covers the International form of the October 3, 2026 SAT, from the r/SAT International discussion thread. US test-takers had a different form, and a separate US recap is planned. The Test Advantage's October 2026 practice-set pages are labeled US and International.
Where can I practice October 2026 SAT questions?
The Test Advantage has an October 2026 Reading and Writing question bank (300 questions) and an October 2026 Math question bank (106 questions), sorted by domain and difficulty. A free account also includes one full-length adaptive SAT section with a Module 1 to Module 2 route and a scaled score, plus free lesson notes and Targeted Practice.
