November 2026 SAT Prediction: What Our Repeat Data Says Is Coming Back

Quick Answer

Our November 2026 SAT prediction is a study priority list, not a leak. Across 22 English question banks, questions that already repeated came back most: 6.4% per later test date after three appearances versus 1.4% after one. We found no November or timing pattern. Study repeated Transitions and Words in Context questions first.

Read it. Then test it.

Our November 2026 SAT prediction comes from repeat history, and it gives you a short list. Questions that have already come back are the best bet to come back again. In our 22 English question banks, a question seen on one test date showed up on a given later date 1.4% of the time. A question seen on four or more dates came back 19% of the time. The test is on Saturday, November 7, 2026 (see every date on our SAT test dates page).

Read this as a prediction, not a leak or a guarantee. We compared every question in our earlier question banks, from March 2024 to October 2026, and measured what came back and when. Most questions on any new test date will be new to you. What the data can do is tell you where to spend your first study hours, and the November 2026 English prediction bank and the November 2026 Math prediction bank put that list into practice sets.

What is the November 2026 SAT prediction based on?

It rests on one measured fact: the questions with the longest repeat record are the most likely to return. We found no calendar or month pattern that predicts better than that.

We started with 22 English question banks holding 5,765 questions. We called two questions an exact repeat only when they had the same passage, the same question wording, the same answer choices and the same correct answer. By that strict rule, 1,610 questions (28%) are exact repeats of a question in another of our banks. Passages come back far more often than questions do: 64% of passages show up in another bank, often with a different question attached.

Our September 2026 SAT prediction tracked passages. This November page counts exact questions, which is the stricter test.

How much of each SAT test date repeats earlier questions?

It swings a lot. After our first bank, the share of a test date's questions that are exact matches to an earlier bank ran from 2.1% (October 2024) to 35.5% (June 2026). That is why nobody can promise a number for November 7.

Test date bank (English)QuestionsExact repeats from earlier banksShare
November 202430892.9%
December 2024276207.2%
November 2025399215.3%

August 2026 (US and International banks)3603910.8%
September 202636612634.4%
October 20263005317.7%

Repeats arrive in bursts from one earlier form. Our June US 2026 bank shares 116 exact questions with our November 2025 bank. A burst like that can lift one test date to over a third repeats while the next date stays in single digits.

Which questions are most likely to come back in November 2026?

The questions that have already come back the most times. Prior repetition was the strongest single signal we found.

Earlier test dates the question had appeared onChance it appeared on a given later dateSample (question and later-date pairs)

Two2.5%3,090
Three6.4%280
Four or more19.4%67 (small sample)

A question with three past appearances was more than 4 times as likely to return as a question seen once. Every question in our English prediction bank has already appeared on two or more test dates in our banks. Of its 574 questions, 496 appeared on two dates and 78 appeared on three or more. Explanation videos sit on 379 of them.

Is there a November pattern or a timing pattern?

No. We looked for one and the data did not show it.

We checked how often a question returned based on the months since it first appeared. Every gap, from 1 month to more than 2 years, landed between 1.0% and 2.2% per later test date. We found no "cooling off" period after a question is used and no sweet spot where it becomes due.

Our data holds only two Novembers. The November 2024 bank had 9 exact repeats and the November 2025 bank had 21. Thirty repeats are too few to support a November rule, and the sources differed. November 2024 drew 7 of its 9 from the October 2024 bank. November 2025 drew from several banks with no clear leader.

Which English skills repeat most on the SAT?

Transitions and Words in Context. Both repeat well above the 28% average for all English questions in our banks.

For the vocabulary side of this prediction, including how many Words in Context questions sit in each bank, see our November 2026 SAT vocab predictions.

College Board groups Reading and Writing questions into four content domains: Information and Ideas, Craft and Structure, Expression of Ideas, and Standard English Conventions. Transitions belong to Expression of Ideas. Words in Context belongs to Craft and Structure. In the English prediction bank, Craft and Structure has the most questions (182), then Standard English Conventions (147), Expression of Ideas (132) and Information and Ideas (113).

Which earlier question banks should you study before November 7?

Start with November 2025. We ranked every English bank on two things: how recent it is and how many of its questions had already repeated. These five came out on top.

  1. November 2025 English bank. 138 of the 371 questions we analyzed (37%) had already appeared in two or more test dates. Its questions also came back the most in later banks: 129 of them.
  2. September 2026 English bank. Two months old, with 127 of 365 questions (35%) already seen at least twice.
  3. June US 2026 English bank. The densest bank for repeats: 168 of 258 questions (65%) already seen at least twice.
  4. November 2024 English bank. The other November bank, with 50 of 285 questions (18%) already seen at least twice.
  5. October 2026 English bank. The newest bank, one month before November 7, with 53 of 285 questions (19%) already seen at least twice.

Every other month sits in the SAT question bank hub.

Exact repeats are much rarer in Math. Across 21 Math question banks with 3,989 questions, only 53 questions repeated across two or more test dates. Most Math repeats change the numbers, and a changed number makes a new question.

We counted 55 exact Math repeats across 11 earlier test dates and none in the two Novembers. So we make no timing call for Math. The steadier signal is the skill mix. Linear functions, lines and models make up 14.0% of all Math questions in our banks, exponential growth and functions 7.7%, and linear equations 7.0%. Our November and December 2026 SAT Math prediction covers those skills and the formulas behind them. The Math prediction bank holds the 53 repeated questions, and you can also work the November 2025 Math bank or the October 2026 Math bank.

Does studying repeated questions help on test day?

It helps a little, and it beats random practice. We tested the rule on 17 earlier test dates, using only the data that existed before each one.

Studying the 200 most-repeated questions first covered 27% of a test date's exact repeats. Picking 200 at random covered 11%. Studying the newest bank first covered 21%. A small-budget plan of 50 questions did better with the newest banks, which is why the list above mixes recent banks with high-repeat ones.

Keep the payoff in proportion. Exact repeats were 2.1% to 35.5% of a test date in our banks, so most of your score still comes from skills. Passages return more than questions do, which means a familiar passage can still carry a new question. Learn why each answer is right.

How should you use the November 2026 SAT prediction in the last three weeks?

You have 23 days from October 15 to November 7. The regular deadline to register is Friday, October 23, 2026, and late registration closes October 27, per College Board's November 7 page. Our November 2026 SAT dates guide lists every deadline.

For how we rank questions across every test date, see our SAT predictions 2026 hub. An older post looked at the flow of passages between regions: late 2026 US SAT prediction. Its method differs from the exact-match rule on this page.

How we built this page

Every Test Advantage number on this page comes from our analysis of our own question banks on thetestadvantage.com, measured from the live database on October 15, 2026: 22 English banks (5,765 questions) and 21 Math banks (3,989 questions), March 2024 to October 2026. An exact repeat means the same passage, question wording, answer choices and correct answer. The backtest used only data available before each of 17 earlier test dates. We show no test content on this page. Test dates, timing and score release dates come from College Board pages fetched October 15, 2026. This is a prediction for study planning. It is not a leak and not a guarantee. Verified 2026-10-15.
