Point One Prep is a subscription SAT platform built for high scorers. Its home page says it "was designed by a perfect 1600 scorer to give you the hardest, high-yield SAT problems." Its headline is "Break the 1500 barrier."
Point One Prep is a different company from OnePrep. The names are close, so check the web address. We review OnePrep in Is OnePrep good?
The How It Works page lists five steps:
- Diagnostic Assessment. A starting test that builds "your initial error profile."
- The Academy. "In-depth lessons and strategies designed by perfect 1600 scorers."
- The Gauntlet. An adaptive question mode that focuses on your "weakest tags," meaning your weakest skills.
- Track Your Progress. Skill mastery charts, a score prediction and a leaderboard.
- Simulate Test Day. Full-length practice exams with an embedded Desmos calculator and a score report.
It also has a free public SAT Question Hub of "Hard Digital SAT questions with precise explanations." The site does not state how many questions the paid bank holds.
How much does Point One Prep cost?
Point One Prep sells three subscriptions. Longer plans cost less per month.

How does the Point One Prep 1500+ guarantee work?
The guarantee refunds your last 3 months of fees if you meet every rule and your score still falls short. The score guarantee page (effective December 31, 2025) lists these requirements:
- A starting score from 1300 to 1490, from a recent official SAT or an official practice test.
- At least 3 months in a row of paid subscription.
- 100% of the Academy lessons finished.
- At least 500 Gauntlet questions answered.
- At least 5 full-length practice tests, one week or more apart.
- At least 10 hours a week on the platform.
- An official SAT within 3 months of finishing the work above.
You can claim if your final score is below 1500 and you gained fewer than 100 points. Claims must arrive within 30 days of your score report. Only full-price fees count, so plans bought with discounts or promo codes are not covered.
Is Point One Prep worth it for a 1500+?
Point One Prep suits a student who already scores near 1300 to 1490 and wants mostly hard practice. The guarantee only covers that starting range. Its plans include lessons, an adaptive drill mode and full practice tests in one place.
Weigh two points before you buy. First, the price: $99 a month on Sprint, or $199 for 3 months. Second, the guarantee needs about 10 hours a week for at least 3 months, plus every lesson and 5 practice tests. If you can commit that time, read the terms in full. If you are below 1300, the guarantee does not apply to you.
For a plan to reach that score, see our guide on how to get a 1500 on the SAT.
