Fee waivers are only for low-income students in grades 11 and 12 in the U.S. or U.S. territories. For a full cost breakdown, read how much the SAT costs.
What ID do you need for the SAT in Egypt?
College Board's SAT ID requirements page has no country row for Egypt, so the general rules apply. Your ID must:
- Be a valid, unexpired photo ID issued by a government or by the school you attend now.
- Be an original physical card. Photocopies and digital IDs are not accepted.
- Show your full legal name exactly as it appears on your admission ticket.
- Have a recent photo that matches how you look on test day and the photo you uploaded.
- Be in good condition, with clear English-language text.
School IDs from last school year are valid through December 31 of this year. If you will be 21 or older on test day, only a government-issued photo ID works. If you travel to another country to test, College Board says "you must use a valid passport as your ID." Birth certificates, temporary IDs and any ID shown on a device are on College Board's list of IDs it does not accept.
Check the name early. College Board says to contact Customer Service at least 30 days before test day if you need to change your name. If your ID is not accepted on test day, you may be sent home, and your test fees will not be refunded.
What device do you need, and can you borrow one?
You test on a laptop or tablet in College Board's Bluebook app. College Board's device lending page accepts a personal or school-managed Windows laptop or tablet, a Mac laptop or iPad, or a school-managed Chromebook. Personal Chromebooks are not permitted.
If you have no device, College Board may lend you one. Register for a test at least 30 days away, then request a device in My SAT at least 30 days before test day. An adult who is not a family member, such as a teacher or counselor, must confirm your request. A request does not guarantee a device.
| SAT date | Last day to request a loaned device (30 days before) |
|---|---|
| Nov. 7, 2026 | Oct. 8, 2026 (passed) |
| Dec. 5, 2026 | Nov. 5, 2026 |
| March 6, 2027 | Feb. 4, 2027 |
| May 1, 2027 | April 1, 2027 |
| June 5, 2027 | May 6, 2027 |
If you borrow a device, arrive 30 minutes before the normal check-in time to pick it up and set it up.
When do you get SAT scores, and how do you send them?
Scores come out on the dates in the first table. You see them in your College Board account. Each time you register, College Board lets you send scores to up to four colleges free. You have until nine days after the test to choose or change those free sends. After that, each report costs $15. For the exact release time, see what time SAT scores are released.
If you take the SAT more than once, Score Choice lets you choose which test dates to send. College Board notes that "some colleges and scholarship programs require you to send all your scores," and Score Choice does not apply to your free score sends.
This page covers College Board's rules only. Admission rules for Egyptian universities are set by Egyptian authorities, so check them there.

How we built this page
Verified 2026-10-13. We read College Board's help center, international testing, dates and deadlines, score release dates, registration, registering, international fees, ID requirements, device lending, Score Choice and test structure pages on October 13, 2026, and quote them above. College Board lists fees through June 2027. The device dates are counted back 30 days from each test date. We did not check Egyptian university rules; Egyptian authorities set those. Confirm on College Board's site before you register.
